Program Length

This program is designed to be completed in two years. CAVIT will award a certificate of completion to students successfully completing the two year program.


Dual Enrollment Program of Study College Credit Available

Through a Program of Study articulation agreement with Central Arizona College, students in the second year medical assistant class are eligible to earn free college credit. The college defines entrance requirements, which must be met before the college will grant credit. Students are responsible for meeting those requirements and completing a separate college admission process.

Jeff Wooley

Jeff Wooley is a registered medical assistant and has seven years experience working in medical clinics. He chairs the state's medical assistant team and is currently serving as president of the Arizona Health Careers Education affiliate. He holds a bachelor's degree in CTE from Northern Arizona University. Jeff joined CAVIT in 2010.

Tiffany Brown

Tiffany Brown

Tiffany Brown is a certified medical assistant and has more than 20 years work experience as a medical assistant and six years experience at CAVIT and Central Arizona College. She serves on the state's medical assistant assessment team and is currently serving as treasurer for the Arizona Health Careers Education affiliate. She holds a bachelor's degree in CTE from Northern Arizona University. Tiffany joined CAVIT in 2008.
